A architect designed contemporary eco house with a central south west facing courtyard garden, first floor balcony with distant glimpses of the river and sea, and a curved wall of bi-fold doors conveniently hidden in the heart of Aldeburgh.
Curved bi-fold doors deliver floods of light to the open plan living space. The modern kitchen with large island leads through to the dining and sitting area, creating a relaxed homely space for everyone to gather. A corridor separates the living area from the ground floor twin bedroom, bathroom and cloakroom and a staircase leads to the first floor shower room and twin bedroom, both beautifully lit by dormer windows. From the living area, a stunning glass and steel spiral staircase leads to the first floor double bedroom with en-suite shower room and access to the south and west facing balcony.
Please be aware, if you have very small children, this property may not be suitable as the master bedroom is a distance from the other bedrooms and accessed via the spiral staircase.
There is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and in the bathrooms, conventional radiators in the bedrooms.
The south west-facing courtyard is planted with herbs, shrubs, a central olive tree and a water feature. A large table and 10 chairs, parasol and a charcoal barbecue for guests to enjoy. There is also an outdoor shower; perfect after a day on the beach or at the sailing club.
Cloudbreak is a a private and quiet property, a short stroll from the High Street, in a private road.

September 2025We thought this was an exceptional home in a lovely town. Super quick to walk to the beach or main street and the perfect open plan living room for a weekend away with cousins. We'd love to come back.

October 2025Cloudbreak was very much as described in the listing, in a lovely, convenient part of Aldeburgh. The house definitely has the wow factor and the living space opening out onto a wonderful courtyard brings the outside in. The trickle of the water fountain in the courtyard made for relaxing afternoons in the comfortable outside space. Whilst the house accommodates 6 people well, perhaps it’s worth noting that a shared drive with neighbours and very clear rules on parking, may mean that if you have 3 cars it could be a bit tight or you leave a car in the road. It is no issue though with a little consideration.

October 2025The house is extremely well located in the town and near the beach. The house is beautifully designed , spotlessly clean and very comfortable. This was our second visit and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.
